PKFZ gets good response at expo
THE Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), one of the exhibitors at the East Asia Business Exhibition (EABEX ’05), has received good response from the event’s trade and business visitors.
PKFZ assistant general manager (sales and marketing) Azizul Annuar said there have been more than 10 serious enquiries on the spot in the first three days of the expo.
“These serious enquiries have come from within the Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) as well as from other regions, including the West Asia. Many others have come to be aware of us through the expo and we hope there will be more leads generated from the exposure here,” he said in a statement.
The 400ha PKFZ situated next to West port in Pulau Indah is modelled after Dubai’s highly successful Jebel Ali Free Zone.
It is designed and managed by JAFZA International, the consulting and management division of Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA).
PKFZ is the first Free Zone in the Asia Pacific to be managed by JAFZA International, which has over 20 years experience in port and free zone management.
JAFZA International has helped governments develop free zones in Morocco and Djibouti.
